Citizen Eco Drive Watch E110-K15737CKW Old Stock Brand New - Minor repair required. This is a brand new, very beautiful Citizen Eco Drive E110-K15737CKW watch. This is a brand new watch which was displayed in a watches & jewelry shop in Israel.

The shop owner passed away about 15 years ago and the shop was closed down. The watches & jewelry which were on display were taken by one of the owner's relatives and kept in a box.

This beautiful classic watch is on of those watches. The long storage duration is the cause for the defect. A minor repair will revive this beautiful watch. Because it was stored for a long time, the Eco-drive capacitor life-time has expired and it need replacement.

I have taken the watch to a watchmaker for a battery replacement as i wasn't familiar with the Eco-drive module. He checked the watch and said the capacitor needs replacement. It is known (to watchmakers & owners) that the Eco-drive capacitors have a limited lifetime and they need replacement after some years. My original intention was to sell the watch so i preferred not to fix it and solve it as-is because the prices here are high. If the watch is placed in light for a few minutes it starts working but the seconds hand jumps 2 seconds at a time (indication for low voltage as described in Citizen's manuals).
