The original box is labeled: Case, Carrying, Watch, Navigation / Specification No. This case was intended to shock isolate a Hamilton size 16 or other size 16 2-inch pocket watch. To the best of our knowledge, this item has been sealed in its original box since July of 1943. Being untouched for 80 years, we are unsure on the exact condition of the contents, but we can assume based on the condition of the box that the case itself could also be in excellent condition.
